UK Social Care sector staffing shortfall and demand
Project Summary
Following on the changes to the policy by the UK Government plans to expand the UK Health and Care Visa to include additional care workers thus bringing all roles in the Shortage Occupation Code (SOC) 6145 into the Health and Care visa expansion scope. We are keen to address the prevalent
staffing issue in the industry and alleviate the demand where possible. The roles include; Care Assistant, Care Worker, Carer, Home Care Assistant, Home Carer and Support Worker (Nursing Home).
We aim to partner with a consortium of providers to jointly procure and manage their international recruitment and inevitably close the UK Health & Social Care staffing shortfall. We are helping Health and Social Care organisations as well as third sector healthcare providers to connect with suitable candidates and fill vacancies across the South East Region. Working in partnership with reputable agencies abroad to offer consultancy services to support every step of the recruitment journey whilst following the Code of Practice for the International Recruitment of Healthcare Professionals we intend to offer Health and Social Care providers a ‘one-stop shop’ for recruiting overseas healthcare workers, allowing them to source from a diverse workforce while upholding ethical recruitment principles.
We are also focusing on the recruitment of candidates from around the world with a particular interest in the region where candidates have an excellent command of the English language and are therefore suitable for recruitment in our Health and Social Care Organizations.
